Juventus Serbo midfielder could not be afraid to face Tottenham Hotspur
All-round midfielder Juventus, Kwadwo Asamoah, said that his team is ready to face the challenge after it is certain to meet Tottenham Hotspur in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Juventus are required to face Tottenham Hotspur after they only become Group D runners-up in the preliminary round. Meanwhile Tottenham won Group H, defending champions Real Madrid.
“In the Champions League, Tottenham are a strong team and they have a good defense,” said Asamoah on Juventus’ official website.
“They have a strong team with good qualities, but if you want to try to win, you have to beat all the teams. All the challenges that await us are very difficult. ”
Both teams actually had met in pre-season match in August. In a match that was then held at Wembley Stadium, Tottenham managed to win convincingly with a score of 2-0.
For the next round of 16 matches, Massimiliano Allegri’s team will host Spurs first on 13 February in Turin. Then they will turn to Wembley on 7 March.
Juventus themselves appear not so convincing especially in Serie A this season. Until the 16th giornata, the Old Lady is still in third place with 38 points. They are two points behind Inter Milan in the top standings. (Source: Juventus)
