Albertini: Italian League Trophy Price Dead For AC Milan
Nothing other than to win the Italian League trophy for AC Milan. Thus said the former AC Milan player, Demetrio Albertini AC Milan action to bring 10 new players in the transfer market this summer.
“There can be no excuses or exceptions, players have to think they can win the League trophy this year and try to achieve it with confidence,” Albertini said as quoted by Soccerway.
AC Milan became the most active club in the transfer market this summer after bringing 10 new players to the San Siro. Several names were brought in between Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus, Hakan Calhanoglu from Hamburg SV, and Andre Silva from FC Porto.
The purpose of this massive purchase is obviously to bring AC Milan back to its peak. Since the last time won the Italian League championship trophy in the 2011/12 season, the prestige of AC Milan continues to fade.
Instead of competing for the Scudetto, to win tickets to the Champions League only, the AC Milan players have to sweat the sweat.
For Albertini, the AC Milan players must now forget those tough times. He asked the players to inculcate the champion’s mentality to return to victory.
“I believe if you want your project to be successful, you must keep the winner mentality and then evaluate the difficulties that arise afterwards at the end of the season,” Albertini said.
“It is true that the club has changed and it is unlikely that it will be difficult to get back in. It could be that this club fails again, but on the other side it is AC Milan, a great club with great history and stadiums,” Albertini concluded.
Until the second week, AC Milan still sit in fourth place standings with 6 points. In the third week on Sunday (10/09/2017), AC Milan will travel to the Stadio Olimpico to challenge Lazio.
